Big Moor - Red Deer Rut.

About the walk

Towards the end of September & through October the Red Deer stags on Big Moor will battle for dominance & the right to mate with the hinds. We will, as usual, keep the group limited to 6 people. This means a more personal experience & there will be less chance of disturbance. We will meet in the car park at Shillito Woods & travel the short distance to Big Moor. The rut is one of those magical wildlife events that everyone should experience at least once. We will of course be keeping an eye out for birds & other wildlife.
