About the walk

If you live in the Belper - Matlock areas, free transport can be provided. Bradford Dale is one of my favourite places to go bird watching. Tour length is up to you, from 1 hour to 4 hours. The walk is around 6 Km and is an easy stroll taking in the great habitats and wildlife. I have recorded 73 bird species at this site and it's one of the best places to see the wonderful Dipper. Other species could include Grey Wagtail, Little Grebe, Buzzard, Nuthatch and Treecreeper. Spring could also bring Chiffchaff, Blackcap & Garden Warbler. As well as great birds I have seen 11 species of Butterfly and many beautiful flowers.
