Carr Vale Nature Reserve - Dawn chorus

About the walk

The dawn chorus is something really special. It begins with trepidation as you regret getting up so early, it's dark & maybe a bit chilly. But then a Blackbird sings, joined by a Robin, Woodpigeon, Dunnock & maybe a Tawney Owl hoots. If you're in the right location, then the warblers begin to sing, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Blackcap & Whitethroat. The air is filled with song and that regret has gone & been replaced with a huge smile & the question, why have I never done this before.
