The weather was forecast to be cloudy but the sun was out for most of our walk.
A stunning flock of around 20 Siskin landed just above our heads in a Alder Tree. They fed for around 10 minutes as we all enjoyed the views. Skylarks were up singing and we saw a few parachuting Meadow Pipit too. Distant Curlews were bubbling and Red Grouse were calling and displaying close by. Just what the moors should sound like at this time of year.
