Erewash Meadows & Aldercar Flash

About the walk

Starting off at Erewash Meadows we will walk through wetland meadows, grassland & woodland. Then moving on to follow the River Erewash to Aldercar Flash Nature Reserve with more wetland habitat & open water. These places can throw up some surprises along with great birds like a Little Ringed Plover or Oystercatcher and a good chance to see the resident Barn Owl. We have recorded 80 bird species on our walks here so far. Remember a lift is available from the Belper area, or on route, if required.
