About the walk

Come join Derbyshire Bird Tours for a wonderful birdwatching experience. We will pick you up either on route or from a local pick up point, agreed in advance. Rutland Water is a great stop off point for may birds on migration. Plus many more birds that make Rutland Water their permanent home too. The day includes travel & guided walk. This site is great for some wonderful birds such as a late Osprey, Hobby and an array of migrating visitors, including warblers, waders and hirundine. We would aim to arrive on site for around 09:00. We would leave the Belper area at 07:00 to 07:30 and aim to be back around 18:00. Price does NOT include the entrance fee which is £8.50 (as of 21st August 2026) for an adult. Bring packed lunch & drinks. Facilities include : Toilets, Shop and Bird Hides. For more details please contact me via phone or email.
