Spring at Rutland Water

About the walk

Come join Derbyshire Bird Tours on Saturday the 3rd of August 2024 for a wonderful birdwatching experience. We will pick you up either on route or from a local pick up point, agreed in advance. Rutland Water is home to the Rutland Osprey Project and the Osprey will be our main target for the day. There are of course many more birds that make Rutland Water their home. The day includes travel & guided walk. This site is home to some wonderful birds such as Osprey, Hobby and an array of summer visitors, including warblers and hirundine. Spring should mean lots of breeding visitors around too. We would aim to arrive on site for around 09:00. We would leave the Belper area at 07:00 to 07:30 and aim to be back around 18:00. Price does NOT include the entrance fee which is £7.50 (as of 22nd Nov 2024) for an adult. Bring packed lunch & drinks. Facilities include : Toilets, Shop and Bird Hides.
