Stopped in our tracks

The plan had been to visit Tucklesholme & then move on to Drakelow Nature Reserve. However, the River Trent had other ideas. We could see the car park, but couldn't reach it.

So, we all turned around and made an impromptu visit to Springwood on the shore of Staunton Harold Reservoir. Woodlands can be quiet at this time of year but the sunshine brought out the birds and their song.
