A breezy start at Tucklesholme and it was quieter than expected.
This is normally a bustling spot for waterfowl but a few birds hunkering down on the spit in front of the viewing screen were the only waterfowl around. Still quite a few Wigeon and Pochard present and Great Crested Grebes at various plumage stages.
Drakelow was sheltered and produced some nice birds. Green and Great Spotted Woodpecker along with Red-legged Partridge and a fly over by 2 Raven. The Heronry had 7 sitting birds and the Cormorant colony was busy with some very aggressive birds.
47 species in all seen and heard.
