Thankfully the predicted rain that was forecast didn't materialise.

We saw more species than usual for this area and even clocked a Woodcock right next to the footpath. We did see a fleeting glimpse of our target bird, the Common Crossbill, I've not included it on the list as the views just weren't good enough.
